The chancellor has raised warning in the UK that reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050 could cost the UK more than £1tn.

The Financial Times reports that the PM wants to introduce the legislation to Parliament next week as "one of her most important legacies".

Philip Hammond has written to her, saying it would mean less money for schools, police and hospitals. This is one of the many difficulties that are associated with change, in order to achieve a healthier and more pollution free future we need drastic sacrifices like these. The problem only arises from the people, seeing that most people are driven by pride a goal to achieve more therefore we as human find it difficult to be selfless. If every single human in the world said I don't need more and I am willing to sacrifice my luxuries and privileges for the greater good world poverty could end in an instant. So it is up to us the Youth to change this in order to create a better and healthier future.
