Climate change: China coal surge threatens Paris targets - Idris_A - 11-21-2019
Over the past few 18 months most countries are have been trying to- switch from coal powered electricity, China on the other hand has been generating enough coal powered electricity to power 32 million homes. Although this is a definite sign that the chinese economy has no concerns regarding Climate change, We must keep in mind that it is not very easy for an entire country to switch it main source of global power. We can only hope that the chinese economy booms well enough they are able and willing to switch to environmentally friendly choices or NOT, or crashes and leaves their decisions to foreign control.

I agree that there is no way China can instantly switch to clean energy and it would take years for the progression to occur. I also highly doubt that China would ever crash and leave their decision to foreign control give their strict government control and massive global power.
