Plastic packaging ban 'could harm environment'
#1
Firms are swapping to other packaging materials which are potentially even worse for the environment, the cross-party Parliamentary group warns. Glass bottles, for instance, are much heavier than plastic so are far more polluting to transport. Because paper bag are harder to reuse and  have higher carbon emissions than plastic bags this could create more problems when this ban was created to help environmental problems

This is one of the reasons why the earth will become more polluted, we are not thinking of the outcome and how it can benefit everyone and the planet but there thing of capital and how cheap or how hard it is

They were trying to find something better for the environment which is great, but they do need to do there research before they release something as big as this

I agree that it is important to cut down on consumer waste when it comes to plastic but a study ( https://tinyurl.com/yxk4rtru )found that just 100 companies are responsible for 71 percent of all carbon emissions. There needs to be action to prevent the damage created by these companies if we want to see any change. Paper bags are biodegradable and sustainable if foresting is done correctly and the carbon footprint of the creation of these bags is less of a concern considering all of the other things we could be worrying about.

I hope more sustainable replacements for plastic can be made in the future and ones we can be sure of their effects on the environment
