Penguins die in 'catastrophic' Antarctic breeding season

This article discusses the struggles the Adelie penguin chicks are going through due to the adults having to walk further for food. High amounts of ice is causing the penguins to not be able to return in time to feed their penguins. Many have perished and in 2015 NONE of the chicks survived. Species within the Antarctic are suffering and the WWF encourages a ban on krill fishing and wants a close observation on the species in this area. In doing this, we can better understand the penguins and help them get food quicker so that they do not run down to extinction. I believe that research on the region to monitor penguin numbers should continue to be done in order for the penguins to survive!
