It would be great if industries cut back their carbon emissions and we will save the planet, but that's too overoptimistic to think that, the current hegemonic idea is capitalism, and that idea is mostly about making money by exploiting everything. so long story short, industries that like were there sitting at now will most likely won't change anything about their business, so in reality, our government might have to force them to reduces but were all thinking it, that's going be a long time till that happens, and we will probably be good as dead.
