New Delivery Method: Wing Drones
#1
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-48029396

The company "Wing", owned by "Google's" parent company "Alphabet" has been the first drone manufacturing company to be approved as an airline. In order to receive the certification of airline status, the company needed to prove that it's drone deliveries carried a lower risk to pedestrians than those deliveries made by cars. This approval is currently in place in the United States, and will soon be making deliveries in rural Virginia within the next few months. With this first approval, I am sure we will be seeing more and more areas over the world test out this new and maybe more efficient method of delivery. In addition, what could some of the downsides to this new method be? Not knowing how costly this method will be it's hard to say that cost could be a negative to this or even a positive. Pedestrians however are complaining about the noise pollution produce from the drones.
