Yes it's mind-blowing to think that we can figure out the elements of an interstellar comet that's probably light-years away from earth, but at most I believe that the component would be at most an isotope that we don't have naturally on earth, but a compound that could lead us to alien life is pushing it for me, if aliens did exist and has technology beyond us they would have contacted us or annihilate us.
