Climate change: China coal surge threatens Paris targets

Over the past few 18 months most countries are have been trying to- switch from coal powered electricity, China on the other hand has been generating enough coal powered electricity to power 32 million homes. Although this is a definite sign that the chinese economy has no concerns regarding Climate change, We must keep in mind that it is not very easy for an entire country to switch it main source of global power. We can only hope that the chinese economy booms well enough they are able and willing to switch to environmentally friendly choices or NOT, or crashes and leaves their decisions to foreign control.
