Scientists in Wales are looking at how slag heaps can be used to remove CO2 from the air in the fight against climate change. Slag is the waste left over from an old ironworks and the researchers at Cardiff University are using it to suck the gas away.
The technique isn't perfect, and won't completely solve the wider global warming problem, but I believe that it will still help. I think even the smallest actions will help because eventually they will all add up and make a change and we can fight against climate change. I think we should try everything and anything that we can do, even if it seems like it won't change or do anything. We need to try to remove the CO2 from the air now because it will be too late if we leave it all to the last minute.
